Situated above the town of Cermes (Tscherms), Monteleone Castle is an impressive aristocratic residence built in the 13th century with further extensions undertaken in the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. Passing through the ornamental garden with its courtyard paintings and the Gothic chapel and rooms furnished in various styles, visitors will learn about the shifts in European art history over several centuries, from Medieval to Baroque. After several changes in ownership, the castle today belongs to the Cornelius van Rossem family. It is well worth a visit and is open from March to October. Visitors can also book guided tours if they wish.
