The Passiria Museum was established on a farm in the Sandhof farm, the birthplace of Andreas Hofer (1767-1810). Along with many documentations and original exhibits, the museum focuses in particular on the history of Andreas Hofer and Tyrol's struggle for independence in 1809. The barn houses a rich collection of traditional objects from Val Passiria (Passeiertal) valley. A listening room provides the opportunity to discover music, folk tales and legends from the valley. The outdoor area with buildings dating to the 16th to the 19th centuries includes among others a typical Val Passiria farmhouse, the Sacro Cuore di Gesù Chapel (Sacred Heart of Jesus Chapel, 1899) and St. Sepolcro (Church of the Holy Sepulchre, 1691) which complete a visit to this museum. Other sites of interest include the French Cemetery, the Giovo (Jaufenburg) Castle and the Pfistrad Alpine Museum.
