This quaint but romantic castle dates back to 1904, when the decision was made to completely renovate it. The original castle, first documented as early as the 13th century and like the Tyrol Castle located higher up, was then not much more than a ruin. In 1973 the owner turned part of the castle into an agricultural museum. The main theme highlights the problems in South Tyrol concerning planting and harvesting on steep slopes. Sections of the museum are devoted to individual topics, such as the transportation of tools, crop harvesting, the manual consolidation of terracing and the diversion of waterways and canals. The museum exhibits numerous agricultural tools and traditions.
